ClickHouse 26.6 Now in ClickHouse Cloud

ClickHouse 26.6 is now available in ClickHouse Cloud. In this quick overview, I walk through five features you can try, from cascading refreshable materialized views to query optimizations and simpler URL queries.

In this video: • Cascading refreshable materialized views: run a full query on a schedule, then trigger a dependent view when the refresh completes. • Faster Top-N queries with joins: apply ORDER BY ... LIMIT before joining when the query allows it. • Faster GROUP BY ... LIMIT: keep only the groups needed when no ordering is requested. • Hypothetical skip indexes: use EXPLAIN WHATIF to compare candidate indexes without building them. • url_base: set a base URL once and use relative paths with the url() table function.
