Every new ClickHouse Cloud organization starts with $300 in credits to use over 30 days. The trial ends when the credits are used up or the 30 days pass, whichever comes first, and the organization then moves to pay-as-you-go. If you add a payment method during the trial, your credits are still used first; the card is only charged once they are depleted or expire. See the billing overview for details.

One compute unit is 8 GiB of RAM and 2 vCPUs. Compute is metered per minute and billed per compute-unit-hour at the rate for your plan, cloud provider and region shown above. The calculator on this page applies the right rate and rounds to the sizes you can actually provision.

Compute scales down to zero after a period of inactivity, so you stop paying for compute until the next query or insert wakes the service. Storage is billed continuously for the data you keep. You can control when a service idles and set a maximum autoscaling limit from the Cloud console.

Storage is metered on the compressed size of your data in object storage, plus backups. Analytical data typically compresses around 10×, so 1 TB of raw data is often billed as roughly 100 GB. Storage rates are the same across plans and vary only by cloud provider and region.

Beyond compute and storage: backups, billed at the same per-TB rate as storage (every service includes one backup every 24 hours retained for a day, and Scale and Enterprise can configure more); ClickPipes data ingestion; and data transfer for public internet and cross-region egress. Set a maximum autoscaling limit on compute, control when a service idles, and watch the per-service usage breakdown in the console. Trial and committed-spend customers are emailed automatically at 50%, 75% and 90% of their credits. With compute-compute separation, several services can share one copy of your data, so storage is billed once.

Yes. You can pay as you go or commit to a contract through the AWS, GCP and Azure marketplaces. Pricing is identical whether you buy through a marketplace or directly from ClickHouse, and self-service customers pay monthly by credit card in USD.

Basic suits development, testing and small departmental workloads on a single replica with up to 1 TB of storage. Scale is built for production: two or more availability zones, unlimited storage, autoscaling, private networking and compute-compute separation. Enterprise adds the controls regulated teams need, such as SAML SSO, customer-managed encryption keys, private regions and HIPAA and PCI compliance. You can upgrade from Basic to Scale, or from Scale to Enterprise, at any time.
