How Twilio handles a petabyte of logs a day with ClickHouse Cloud
Avleen Vig, Site Reliability Architect at Twilio, explains how ClickHouse Cloud supports 30 million log lines per second at peak, a petabyte of raw logs per day, and 50% annual data growth.
Twilio processes about a petabyte of raw log data every day, with peaks of 30 million log lines per second flowing into ClickHouse. That data volume is growing by around 50% year over year.
Avleen Vig, Site Reliability Architect at Twilio, shares the company’s observability journey with ClickHouse Cloud: bringing previously siloed data together, scaling log ingestion, tuning performance, and giving engineers access to the data they need. He also explains why Twilio chose to let the ClickHouse team manage the platform.
Recorded at Open House London on 30 September 2026.
