Date: March 25, 2026
Time: 9:00AM EST / 3:00PM CET
Duration: 3 hours
Location: Virtual - Zoom Webinar
Cost: FREE
Format: Instructor-led training with hands-on labs

What you’ll learn: In this hands-on session, participants will learn how to optimize data ingestion through either ClickHouse or the OpenTelemetry collector. You'll learn how to configure data processing and ClickStack security. You'll also learn how to decide when to scale vertically or horizontally and you'll learn how to deploy a multi-region ClickStack cluster. Finally, you'll learn how to connect Grafana and AI agents to your cluster.

By the end of this session you'll be able to:

  • Optimize writes in ClickHouse
  • Optimize writes through the OpenTelemetry collector
  • Understand how the OpenTelemetry collector can be used to filter, sample, enrich, and process data
  • Implement cluster sizing according to guidelines
  • Decide when to scale vertically and horizontally
  • Deploy and use a multi-region cluster
  • Use ClickHouse functions and User Defined Functions to analyze data
  • Use joins to correlate observability data with business data
  • Compare normal and slow traces through event deltas
  • Group similar log message through event patterns
  • Connect other visualizations tools such as Grafana to your cluster
  • Connect AI agents to your cluster

There will be both instructor-led training and hands-on labs. The material is presented in modules and will include:

Module 8: Improving Data Ingestion
Module 9: ClickHouse Cluster Architecture
Module 10: Analyzing Observability Data

Pre-requisites:

  • Observability with ClickStack Levels 1 and Level 2
  • ClickHouse Cloud account to access the labs
  • Familiarity with terminals and containers is helpful.
  • Docker or equivalent
  • Have permission to bind Docker to localhost on ports 8000, 8001, 8080, 4317, 4318
