One Size Can't Fit All - The Case for a Real-Time Data Warehouse

We owe a lot to the cloud data warehouses, but their era of hegemony is coming to an end. The cloud data warehouses accomplished what many considered impossible: shifting huge analytical workloads from proprietary mainframe-like self-managed solutions to the cloud. This evolution ultimately resulted in a close examination of how warehoused data could be used to build increasingly interactive data-driven applications and led to an increasing trend to unbundle the cloud data warehouse, now deployed in a more open and interconnected environment.
