Transfer credits

The View billing details permission lets you view balances but does not allow transfers.- Click Transfer in the source organization’s row.
- Select an active credit grant. The panel lists the source organization’s active grants and their expiration dates.
- Select a target organization from the organizations you have access to.
- Enter the amount to transfer.
- Review the resulting balances and click Transfer credits.
Transfer rules
- You can transfer only active prepaid credits. You can’t transfer trial credits.
- A credit transfer modifies the prepaid credits available to the source and destination organizations. It doesn’t change the total active credits granted under your committed contract.
- Transferring prepaid credits into an organization in a trial or a grace period for non-payment makes it a prepaid organization. It starts consuming those credits.
- You can transfer all remaining prepaid credits out of a source organization only if it has a backup payment method or no services. Otherwise, the maximum transfer is 75% of the source organization’s credit balance.
- You can’t transfer credits between ClickHouse Cloud and Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) organizations.
- You can’t transfer credits between organizations billed through different cloud marketplaces, such as AWS Marketplace and Google Cloud Marketplace.
Marketplace billing after a transfer
If the source organization is billed through an active AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure Marketplace contract, the target organization’s billing setup determines what happens:
To bill overages for both organizations through the same marketplace subscription, see how to use another organization’s marketplace subscription.
Review transfer history and notifications
After a transfer completes:- A new entry appears in the Transfer History table below the organization table.
- Both the source and target organizations receive notifications in the UI, by email, and in Slack. Only users with billing notification access receive these notifications.
