Is the observability UI as we know it dead? And what happens next?

AI is fundamentally changing how engineers investigate production systems. Rather than starting with a dashboard, search interface, or predefined workflow, engineers can increasingly start with a question and use AI to generate queries and explore telemetry.

What does this mean for observability UI as we know it? If AI becomes the starting point for investigations, do we still need traditional observability interfaces? Could every investigation produce its own interface, with reusable queries, evidence and software that other engineers can inspect, adapt, and build upon?

Join Kelsey Hightower and Mike Shi from ClickHouse for a discussion about how AI is reshaping observability, what existing tools still do well, and what comes next. We’ll explore whether AI-generated investigation interfaces can complement or replace fixed vendor experiences, and what it takes to make them trustworthy, secure, and maintainable.

Alongside the discussion, ClickHouse will introduce and demonstrate its new serverless observability product, showing how engineers and AI agents can investigate production systems and how ClickHouse is thinking about the future of observability interfaces.
