ClickHouse を導入するもう一つの方法：ステートレスサーバーからリアルタイム分析まで From Stateless Servers to Real-time Analytics

ストレージソリューションの導入やリプレイスには、複雑で長期にわたる作業がつきものです。本セッションでは、私たち LINE Manga のチームが、すでに確立された分析パイプラインと競合させることなくスタンドアロン／ステートレスな ClickHouse サーバーを既存エコシステムへシームレスに組み込んだ事例をご紹介します。

具体的には、水平方向・垂直方向にシャーディングされた多数の MySQL クラスターに対して、リアルタイムかつアドホックな分析を ClickHouse で実装しました。複数シャードを JOIN するカスタム Script 開発と比較して、SQL で完結するため柔軟なデータ探索が可能となり、いまや ClickHouse は不可欠なツールへと進化しました。

Introducing or replacing a storage solution is often a complex and long-term process. In this session, we will share how our LINE Manga team seamlessly integrated a standalone, stateless ClickHouse server into our existing ecosystem without disrupting an already established analytics pipeline.

Specifically, we implemented real-time and ad-hoc analytics using ClickHouse on numerous MySQL clusters that are sharded both horizontally and vertically. Compared to developing custom scripts for joining multiple shards, leveraging SQL within ClickHouse allowed for more flexible data exploration, ultimately transforming ClickHouse into an indispensable tool for our operations.
