# dictionaries_* server settings

> ClickHouse server settings in the dictionaries_* generated group.

These settings configure the ClickHouse server and are autogenerated from ClickHouse source.

  dictionaries\_config
</h2>

The path to the config file for dictionaries.

Path:

* Specify the absolute path or the path relative to the server config file.
* The path can contain wildcards \* and ?.

  dictionaries\_lazy\_load

Lazy loading of dictionaries.

* If `true`, then each dictionary is loaded on the first use. If the loading is failed, the function that was using the dictionary throws an exception.
* If `false`, then the server loads all dictionaries at startup.

<Note>
  The server will wait at startup until all the dictionaries finish their loading before receiving any connections
  (exception: if [`wait_dictionaries_load_at_startup`](/docs/reference/settings/server-settings/settings/other#wait_dictionaries_load_at_startup) is set to `false`).

  dictionaries\_lib\_path
</h2>

<SettingsInfoBlock type="String" default_value="/var/lib/clickhouse/dictionaries_lib/" changeable_without_restart="No" />The directory with shared libraries for the `library` dictionary source. The setting is deprecated: the `library` dictionary source was removed.
